Man’s Best Friend? More like, Man’s Best Co-Worker. Here at Idenna, we’re undoubtedly a team of dog lovers and are incredibly lucky to be able to bring our beloved pets to work every day.
We currently have two regular woofers at Idenna HQ – ‘Head of the Pack’ Buster who’s a totally soppy ray of sunshine, and ‘Head of Security’ Nica, an international rescue dog we’ve affectionately nicknamed “gremlin” because she hides under Lottie’s desk and has issues (don’t ask).
We love them both no matter their quirks, because they lift our moods and always greet us with a wag at the door. Here’s why we think having canine colleagues makes work life totally paw-fect:
1. Productivity
Studies have shown that offices that welcome four-legged friends put out three times the productivity of a pet-less one – and we have two…#justsaying
2. They are always happy
It’s a fact, they just never have a ruff day (sorry). Their infectious happiness and energy rubs off on us and keeps us sane – like giant, flooffy, four-legged stress relievers.
3. Lunchtime walkies
Ever get to work, sit in your chair, and then you glance at the clock and it’s already 3pm? Time flies, and it’s all too easy to forget to take regular breaks when you feel like you’re chained to your desk. Add a dog into this equation and you have to remember to take them out – otherwise we all know what could happen.
This means getting outdoors, soaking up the sunshine (sometimes), fresh air and clearer heads for more creative.
4. Leftover fruit hoovers
Because dogs are way cuter than compost bins.
5. Cuteness for the Insta stories
If you follow Idenna on Instagram there’s a very good chance that you’ve come across Boomerang videos of Buster eating bananas or Nica ‘singing’ along to Bruno Mars on the radio. Dogs are the perfect models for impromptu phone photoshoots because they’re always cute, willing to cooperate (as long as treats are involved) and usually doing something we find hilariously sharable.
Put simply, we just love life more with woofers around. You can meet our resident hounds and the rest of the Idenna team here.
