Senso Systems Shop Front
Brief
“I just need to get more people up the stairs.” Senso Systems sits on one of the busiest streets in Truro town centre, but blink and you’ll miss it – because the showroom is up a flight of stairs and its entrance is largely overshadowed by the Coop next door. Whilst the brief might have been straightforward enough, this project needed a lot of lateral, creative thinking to hit the mark.
The Plot
We quickly realised that in order to get people to notice the showroom windows on the second floor, we needed to get people to look up. Simple, right? These are the graphic design and photography challenges we live for and an opportunity to really flex our creative muscles with something unique and totally standout. After a buzzy brainstorm meeting, we realised that if you looked at someone and they were looking upwards, your natural instinct would be to follow their gaze, so we decided that clever photography and studio styling was the way forward, with the key element of making sure the models were always looking up. The addition of the strapline “it’s all going on upstairs,” and clever photography angles to make sure the models were the same size as in real life, and it gave passers-by a real double take moment.
What happened next?
Senso Systems loved the design, styling and end result. News of their redesigned shop front reached the local press and the team reported that more people physically made it up the stairs. The new shop artwork really put them on the map and now, they look as good as they sound. We continue to work with Senso Systems on ad hoc projects, including a new website build and digital marketing campaigns.
