Trevithick Academy and Venture MAT
Brief
Idenna was approached by Trevithick School in mid-Cornwall to develop and design new brands for the school, and the new Venture Multi-Academy Trust (MAT) which was in the process of being set up. The school’s leadership team wanted to cultivate a strong, clear core brand which would set the design basis for a range of physical and digital branding material that we were also asked to create, including websites and prospectuses.
The Plot
Developing a new brand takes time, collaboration and care. Stakeholders at Trevithick School had initial ideas for the branding’s style and functionality; they were looking for an organic yet stylish look that would resonate professionally with Governors and Head Teachers, while foregrounding the fun, adventurous essence of the school. Visually, the team were keen to channel the outdoors and storytelling to reflect their spirit of adventure and key values of strength and empowerment. From this brief, our designers presented a range of options, including logos, fonts, colour palettes and graphic style guides. These were then refined with the clients’ feedback, developing a specifically tailored design that reflected their aims and story.
What happened next?
The team at Trevithick were impressed with both the process of developing the brands and the final results. Their logo balances contemporary and classic design elements that ensures the brand will remain fresh going forward. Both professional and flexible, the design appeals to a variety of target groups and ages with a strong, coherent and visual style. We created eye-catching and distinctive websites, bringing a fresh, modern feel to more traditional branding material such as brochures, business cards, letterheads and compliment slips.
