When it came to making the latest film for Lusty Glaze there were three main requirements: it had to be quirky, it had to be engaging and it needed to leave the viewer feeling inspired.
Andy, the Operations Manager down there, had the original idea and as soon as he said it we knew it would be an instant hit. A lightbulb moment, you might say. The idea was clever but simple, funny yet could be taken seriously and it was underpinned with one powerful message.
Yep, we’re talking about revealing the long kept secret of Cornish sea carrots. The infamous, orange delicacies that have lain hidden in our shorelines for decades, with only a few select people in the know…Until now.
Every Sunday morning before service, the Head Chef at Lusty Glaze fetches his wheelbarrow and heads off down the beach in search of the freshest and local produce for that day’s service.
He gets to the low tide line, takes his shoes and socks off and wades a little into the water. He reaches into the sand and digs up…the most delicious organic sea carrots.
Okay, so we all know that sea carrots don’t actually exist. Lusty Glaze has always served fresh, local ingredients – this was just a new fun way of keeping the conversation alive.
The ‘mockumentary’ style shoot was devised to be a little tongue-in-cheek, a bit of fun and to totally capture the heart of the client and what they do. Not to mention it’s the it’s exactly the kind of project that our Film Team goes nuts over.
At the time of writing, the video had more than 12K views on Facebook. You can check out the sea carrot hype here. Just don’t let us catch you digging around the low tide line…
